Duties of Editor
Role of Editors: After receiving manuscript, editor will start his work, the role of the editors is to evaluate the appropriateness of submitted manuscripts for the journal, including: the quality of the manuscript, whether it meets the Aims and Scope of the journal, as well as the originality of the work. The editors should not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers or potential reviewers, or other members of the editorial board. Editors will ensure the punctual handling of the review process. Editors will evaluate the merit of manuscripts for intellectual content without regard to race, gender, country of origin, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.
Editorial Board: Editorial board has been generated from internationally recognized experts in various fields. The editor will provide full names and affiliations of the members as well as updated contact information for the editorial office on the journal webpage. Editors are the sole responsible persons for the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript, it may be subjected to peer review but the final decision is bound to the concerned editor. If one of the editor is willing to publish an article the article should be processed by another editor. Editor should refrain from using the information, data, theories, or interpretations of any submitted manuscript in her/his own work until that manuscript is in press
Publication Decisions: The editor should be responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editor may be guided by the policies of the journal’s editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
Initial Screening: For initial review, every manuscript submitted for publication first read by at least editor. During initial review, editor will assess the submitted manuscript on the basis of its quality, originality, plagiarism, grammar, suitability with IJMIR editorial policies etc. If the manuscript is full filling all this criteria, then such manuscript will be send to at least two reviewers for external review. The manuscript immediately rejected which does not pass in initial review of editor and decision will be immediately communicated to the author.
External Peer Review: If the manuscript is full filling all this criteria, then such manuscript will be send to at least two reviewers for external review. Reviewers are internationally recognized experts in fields. The reviewers won't know the author's identity, as any identifying information will be stripped from the document before review.
Experiments on Animals and Humans
The authors of papers, in which experiments on animals and humans were conducted, should provide that certification that “Experiments on animals were performed in accordance with the ethical guidelines and regulations set by appropriate authority of the country where experiments carried out and also should be in accordance with the internationally accepted principles for laboratory animal and human use and care.
If authors would like to include already Published work like figures, tables, or text passages in any other online/print publication, in their article, before sending such articles for publication to IJMIR, authors should take written permission from previous publisher/author. The authors should submit this letter along with manuscript submission. The material received without written permission will be assumed to originate from the authors and International Journal of Multidisciplinary Innovative Research will not be responsible for any future consequences.
Manuscript must be submitted by one of the authors of the manuscript. The corresponding author should submit a duly sign scan Copyright form after acceptance of manuscript behalf of all co-authors (if any). The author(s) should confirm that the manuscript (or any part of it) has not been published previously or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. If any illustration, structure or table that has been published elsewhere it must be reported, and copyright permission for reproduction must be obtained.
Conflict of Interest
Financial contributions to the work being reported should be clearly acknowledged, as should any potential conflict of interest.
Errata and Corrections in Published Articles
Authors and readers are encouraged to notify the Editor-in-Chief if they find errors in published content, authors’ names and affiliations or if they have reasons for concern over the legitimacy of a publication. In such cases the journal will publish an ERRATUM in consultation with Editor-in-Chief and authors of the article, and/or replace or retract the article.
Articles which are published or in Press that include errors, or are determined to violate the publishing ethics guidelines such as multiple submission, fake claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data or the like, may be “Withdrawn” from the journal. Withdrawal means that the article files are removed and replaced with a PDF stating that the article has been withdrawn from the journal in accordance with IJMIR Editorial Policies.
Authors of each article published in this Journal are solely responsible for all the contents in their article(s) together with accuracy of the facts, statements and citing resources.
